Repatriation Of Mortal Remains

Our Repatriation of Mortal Remains service provides compassionate and practical support to bereaved families by arranging the safe transportation of a deceased beneficiary to a funeral home closest to their normal place of residence. Repatriation is available when the deceased is more than 100 km from their usual residence in South Africa, Lesotho, Namibia, or Mozambique. We coordinate the required documentation, authorities, transport arrangements, and family requests while taking cultural customs and personal beliefs into consideration. The service also supports the transportation of ashes following cremation and provides access to a 24-hour bereavement counselling line for next of kin. Where required, assistance with overnight accommodation is available for family members who need to identify or accompany the deceased.
