The Commuting Journey Policy (CJP) provides additional financial protection for employees against accidental death or disablement while travelling between home and work or between work and other authorised destinations. This includes journeys undertaken to attend a colleague’s funeral or memorial service. Designed to complement existing workplace protection, the CJP helps address commuting-related incidents that may not be covered under COIDA or other workplace policies. Depending on the insured event, the policy can provide benefits for death, temporary total or partial disablement, permanent disablement, and eligible medical expenses. Available to eligible employees of registered South African employers, the policy provides valuable financial support during recovery and helps employees and their families manage the financial impact of an accident.
