The policy is available to registered companies in South Africa and can be structured to meet the needs of different employers through suitable distribution arrangements. Employers can choose from flexible family cover options, including cover for the main member, spouse and up to six children, with the option to add additional eligible family members where applicable. Depending on the option selected, insured members can receive a lump-sum funeral benefit of either R30,000 or R50,000, subject to applicable limits and policy terms. Eligible employees can join from ages 18 to 65, while children are covered from birth up to age 21. There is no waiting period for death resulting from natural causes or accidental death, while a 12-month waiting period applies to suicide. Valid claims are processed and paid within 24 working hours after all required claim documents have been received.
